Limitations of use
Please do not wear your sunglasses in conditions of poor visibility or at night, especially if you are driving. Never look directly at the sun, even while wearing your sunglasses.
The lenses are impact resistant according to US FDA Reg. 21CFR801.410, however they should not be considered an unbreakable shield against impacts. Your sunglasses are not for use as protection against blows or impacts, during which the glasses could break and cause injury to your eyes and face. If your lenses become scratched or chipped, we recommend replacing them.
Storage
Lumete sunglasses should be kept in the Lumete Signature Hard Clutch at a temperature between 10 and 100 °F. Do not leave your sunglasses in your car on a hot day, and never leave them on your dashboard. High temperatures can damage the look and functionality of your sunglasses.
Cleaning
Wipe your lenses clean only with your Lumete Optical Microfiber Lens Cloth or a similar microfiber designed to clean optical or camera lenses. Be sure to keep your lens cloth inside your Signature Hard Clutch or the Sunglasses Sleeve rather than the bottom of your purse, as microfiber can pick up sharp dust particles that can scratch your lenses when you clean them. If your sunglasses are extra dirty, try cleaning them with just water. If that doesn’t work, we recommend using a lens cleaning spray that is specially designed for cleaning optical or camera lenses. If that is not available, use a tiny bit of mild dish soap diluted in water. As with any optical lenses, do not use chemical solvents such as alcohol or acetone, household cleaning sprays or abrasive cloths (including clothing, paper towels, tissues, dish cloths).
Fitting
Lumete works meticulously to ensure the fit and function of the collection, however, your local optician can make your sunglasses even more comfortable by adjusting the temples for precise custom fitting.
